Satiné rubane, bloodwood can primarily be found in the countries Guyana, Venezuela, and Surinam/Amazon. It is also called Muirapiranga (blood of the piranha). The very hard wood is evenly structured and convinces with its beautiful light to intense red color with a silky shine. In French-speaking countries, it is therefore often called "red satinwood". The color of the wood doesn't bleach out over time, but rather gets even stronger.
