Otodus obliquus is an extinct giant primordial shark that lived during the Paleocene and Eocene (about 60-40 million years ago).
This impressive shark was an ancestor of the megalodon (Carcharocles megalodon), known to be one of the largest and most dangerous predators of the seas, and lived around 23 to 3.6 million years ago.

Each of our fascinating Otodus obliquus shark tooth pendants is a truly unique piece of nature, created over millions of years of geological history. Due to natural variations, variations in material structure, shape and color may occur, making each piece even more unique. We try to show this clearly in the pictures.
Silver Jewelry will turn black over time. This is a normal process during which silver reacts with oxygen and sweat but also ingredients of for example skin care products. For cleaning purposes we recommend silver cleaning cloth. These are soaked with chemicals which solve silver sulfide and take on the black residue. However during this manual process small amounts of actual siver are removed as well. Do not polish silver plated jewelry in this manner too often! We always recommend to take off silver jewelry during manual labor, while performing sports and in the shower or sauna.
