Handcrafted fleshplug from black wood with red Tiger's Eye inlay

The Tiger's Eye is a microcrystalline, golden brown to golden yellow striped variety of the mineral quartz. Processed in smooth finish, it shows a billowing shimmer called chatoyancy or "cat's eye effect". Tiger's eye is formed by pseudomorphs with additional storage of iron. When Tiger Eye get burned or heated it turns his brown golden color to a strong coppery red.

Jewelry from organic materials (e.g. wood, horn and bone) provide great comfort due to their light weight. As opposed to piercing jewelry from artificial materials or metals the development of odors while wearing them is greatly reduced. This article is available in different sizes. When used properly the jewelry is harmless but cannot be sterilized.

Wooden pieces which are supposed to be inserted into the body are best treated before first use and regularly later on with Jojoba or Linseed Oil. These oils harden when exposed to oxygen and protect the wood. This can darken the material a bit. We also recommend to additionally seal the wood with bees wax. Depending on how often you wear your jewelry this should be repeated regularly.

"Saddle Plugs" are a bit more narrow in the middle. No rubber rings are necessary for fixation and the Plug or Tunnel has a nice fit in the ear lobe.
