Please note: from size 22 to 28mm, the raw material buffalo horn is not always available, so the ear plugs are made of noble Arang wood and therefore not available in buffalo horn.

The amethyst is a coveted gemstone because of its beautiful purple color. It is also considered by connoisseurs as one of the most important healing stones among the semiprecious stones. The name Amethyst comes from the Greek "Amethystos", which means "not drunk".

Wooden pieces which are supposed to be inserted into the body are best treated before first use and regularly later on with Jojoba or Linseed Oil. These oils harden when exposed to oxygen and protect the wood. This can darken the material a bit. We also recommend to additionally seal the wood with bees wax. Depending on how often you wear your jewelry this should be repeated regularly.

We recommend to occasionally polish jewelry from horn with vaseline.

"Saddle Plugs" are a bit more narrow in the middle. No rubber rings are necessary for fixation and the Plug or Tunnel has a nice fit in the ear lobe.

Jewelry from organic materials (i.e. wood, horn and bone) offers best wearing comfort due to its light weight and is suitable for people with allergies. As opposed to Piercing-Jewelry made from synthetic materials or stainless steel the formation of odors during wearing is greatly reduced. When used as intended the jewelry is harmless but not sterilizable. It will last a very long time given regular cleaning and correct treatment.
