This artfully made black ear plug combines two natural materials - purple charoite stone with a translucent, swirling structure and noble ebony wood.

The mineral Charoite is a rare chain silicate from the mineral class of silicates. Charoite develops translucent to opaque, massive or fibrous aggregates in violet and white stripes, the stripes are interlaced and may sometimes contain dark inclusions. Charoite is highly sought after as a gemstone. There is a possibility of confusion with Amethyst.

Due to the saddle shape of the ear plugs - narrower in the middle - no holding rubber rings are necessary. The plug sits perfectly on the ear and does not slip.

Jewelry made of organic materials (such as wood, horn and bone) provides the best wearing comfort due to its lightness and unlike piercing jewelry made of plastics or metals, the odor formation is greatly reduced and suitable for allergy sufferers. When used correctly, the jewelry is harmless but cannot be sterilized.

These oils harden when exposed to oxygen and protect the wood. This can darken the material a bit. We also recommend to additionally seal the wood with bees wax. Depending on how often you wear your jewelry this should be repeated regularly.

"Saddle Plugs" are a bit more narrow in the middle. No rubber rings are necessary for fixation and the Plug or Tunnel has a nice fit in the ear lobe.
